500 Error After Enabling URL Rewriting

If the site cannot be opened and returns a 500 error after enabling pseudo-static (rewrite) URLs, it is usually because the server itself does not support pseudo-static URLs. Contact your hosting provider to restart the server and enable the rewrite feature.
